The Metra Smart Lockers System enabled the transformation of over 4000 personal lockers used by the public employees at the Australian Government Agency for Transport into smart and centrally managed government office lockers.

The personal office lockers for employees are equipped with the Metra Smart Locker System (Metra Displays, which support HID access technology). It enables NSW employees to use their physical access cards and/or their mobile phones and smart watches as their personal locker keys to access and use the office lockers. To access and use the smart office locker with their phone or smartwatch, an employee uses a digital access credential in the HID app.

When employees use their phones to access their Metra smart lockers, they unlock their lockers with a simple twist-and-go movement of the mobile phone. This user-friendly Metra smart solution for office lockers enables employees to select how they want to access their lockers, enabling them a more personalized work experience that supports their work dynamics.

The Metra smart locker management enables a seamless, time-saving process of employees’ on- and off-boarding, real-time overview and administration of government office lockers and their users, and provides various reports and statistics to adjust and optimize locker use dynamics to office policies.
