The outdoor ski depot lockers at the ski resort La Clusaz in the French Alps are surely one of Metra’s most interesting and unique smart locker solutions. A true testament to the reliability and quality of the Metra Smart System.
La Clusaz is a ski resort in the French Alps near the Swiss border. It is part of the Aravis skiing area, which shares with the neighboring resort of Le Grand Bornand to offer a total of 220 km (140 mi) of ski slopes. Located in the Aravis mountain range, La Clusaz (originally from the word cluse – meaning a narrow path between two mountains) was once called Clusa Locus Dei, meaning God’s narrow place.
Skiers use their ski passes on the Metra Display ISO reader to easily access the ski lockers and securely store their skis in the outdoor ski depot lockers. An unoccupied, free ski depot locker is easily spotted as its locker door is open. A skier occupies one by closing it and locking it with his or her ski pass on the Metra Display ISO reader. When a skier is finished using the locker, he/she leaves it open, and another skier can occupy it and lock it with his/her ski pass.
