The Metra smart locker system was selected for the smart workplace lockers used by Volvo employees at Volvo Car HQ in Norway. The receptionist assigns each locker to an employee for long-term, permanent use. 

Volvo Car Norway introduced Metra smart workplace lockers to enhance the employee experience and support work dynamics with the secure and frictionless use of personal lockers. The custom design of lockers also improves the offices’ visual appeal. The seamless integration of Metra’s smart workplace lockers with Metra Displays ISO with existing access control enables building access cards of Volvo car employees to be used as smart locker keys. The remote and centralized locker management software enables easy administration of lockers, locker keys, and locker users. Real-time information on locker activity can be used to optimize locker usage peaks.
Volvo’s smart locker solution is environmentally friendly and consumes little energy, comparable to making a cup of coffee on a coffee machine.
