Metra Plug & Play smart locker system has received a bronze award for innovation at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia’s awards ceremony for the best innovations. The expert jury recognised a solution that is the first of its kind on the global market and radically simplifies the implementation, integration, use and management of smart lockers.

At the ceremony honouring the best innovations in the Central Slovenia region, organised by GZS – the Chamber of Central Slovenia Region, Metra Plug & Play smart locker system for personal and business lockers received a bronze award for innovation. What is the Metra Plug & Play smart locker system
The Metra Plug & Play smart locker system is the first solution of its kind on the global market, revolutionising and simplifying the implementation, integration, use and management of lockers – in modern offices, business buildings, factories, hospitals, universities and other environments.
The solution enables the modern use of lockers with access cards, Apple and Google Wallet, or biometrics, while providing centralised, real-time locker management with the highest level of corporate security.
Fully autonomous – no network connection required
A key advantage of the system is its complete autonomy. The smart locker system operates independently – it only needs to be plugged into an ordinary wall socket and is not part of the company network. This makes it ideal for environments where connecting to an IT network is not possible or desirable, or where deployment needs to be carried out without involving the IT department.
The system thus offers a unique combination of:
- corporate security – built on advanced security technologies and protocols, with anti-theft features and a fully concealed smart lock;
